It is a confusing dish due to its name.Health is wealth,so don’t waste health and wealth.Bubble and squeak is very easy and quick dish.It is the use of leftover vegetables.Mostly ,majority do not like to eat the later dish again and again,In this way mostly vegetables are often useless.Which is not good for a good management.Bubble and squeak are the best way to get rid of waste of cooked vegetables. 

This is not especially for any rigoin. It is a good use of leftover vegetables. 

Can it Use at Breakfast or Dinner

Can we use this dish for breakfast? The answer is, yes. You can use this dish for breakfast.Is is a full dish and you can enjoy it every time.

ThIs delicacy can also be enjoyed at lunch time.It is not a side dish,although it is a meal.You can also eat this good looking dish at dinner. 

I think that is a special dish for children. Most children like to eat fried things at any time. The younger generation likes fried items.

  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Leftover Vegetables
  • Bacon/Brussels sprouts
  • Salt 
  • Black Pepper
  • Vegetables( peas, carrots, beans,turnip and cabbage .
  • Red Onion

How to Make Bubble and Squeak

If you want to add something extra in this dish,like peas,carrots and turnips, you have to boil these vegetables separately for 10 minutes. But if you want to add the turnip ,boil it for 10 more minutes. 

Take two red onions and chop them.Cut the bacon in small pecies .Take a non-stick frying pan and put some oil in it. On a medium heat put the onions in the oil. After 5 minutes, put the cutted bacon in it. When the color of bacon is brown turnoff the stove. 

Put out the onions and bacon in a bowl. Now take a bowl and take mashed potatoes and leftover vegetables in it. Mix them. Add the other vegetables that you want to add in.Mix these things with your hands properly. Make a firm mixture and add some salt and leaves of cabbage with green color in it. Leaves are for the beauty of it . 

Mashed potatoes will work just like glue in this dish. Which helps the mixture in remaining together tightly. It will not get the mixture spread. Now a thick paste is ready. 

Divide the whole material in 4 or 6 portions. Take a safe tray from the microwave oven. Brush the paste with oil and butter and put black pepper on it. Put the tray in the oven at 200C(400F) for 10 minutes. Take out the dish from the oven and place a plate on it. Turn your hands, now the paste on the plate. Again put the tray in the oven to cook the other side also.Don’t overcook it . It may burn on high heat. 

Now the bubbles and squeaks are ready. You can add more butter in it, if you need it.

How to Serve

Mostly, it is served with a fried egg.You can also serve it with beef and the meat of lamb.
